Privacy Policy

1. Who operates Stayrr

Stayrr is operated by Vladan Marković, an individual operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@stayrr.app.

2. Local-first product data

Stayrr has no account or login system, Stayrr backend, or Stayrr cloud sync. Core productivity data is stored locally on your iPhone, principally in a SQLite database. This includes your profile and preferences; onboarding answers, goals and intentions; Outcomes and Steps; Focus Blocks, Check-ins and self-ratings; focus timing; Purpose Access reasons and access history; and Discipline Score history, evidence and receipts. This information supports your focus sessions and record of completed work.

Local storage does not mean that no information leaves your device. Subscription services, opening website pages, contacting support and choosing to share an image have the separate data flows described below.

3. Device and iCloud backups

Stayrr does not operate a cloud backup or sync service for your productivity history. The main app database may nevertheless be included in Apple device or iCloud backups, depending on your backup settings. Apple controls those services. Deleting data in Stayrr does not delete earlier backups, and restoring a backup may restore earlier app data. Manage those backups separately through Apple. Stayrr does not promise recovery of deleted history.

4. Screen Time, contextual shields and local notifications

Stayrr uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks to protect the individual apps you select through Apple’s system picker. Apple-issued application tokens and selection counts are stored locally. Stayrr does not decode those tokens into ordinary app names or bundle identifiers, or receive the browsing history or content inside your selected apps.

The app and its Screen Time extensions exchange limited local runtime information through an Apple App Group. Alongside opaque tokens and timing or protection state, this can include shield presentation text drawn from your current focus intention, Step, Outcome or longer-term goal. That text lets the native shield remind you what you chose to work toward. The App Group does not contain the full productivity database or your complete history. Selected-app tokens and contextual productivity text are not sent to RevenueCat or a Stayrr server.

With notification permission, Stayrr may schedule local reminders about your focus session, breaks, temporary access or paused session. These use generic messages rather than your private intentions, Check-in text or selected-app identities. Scheduling and delivery take place through iOS; Stayrr does not use a remote push-notification service. You can manage notification permission in iPhone Settings.

5. Subscriptions, Apple and RevenueCat

Apple processes purchases through StoreKit and the App Store. RevenueCat manages subscription access on Stayrr’s behalf, including purchase verification, restoration, product and offer information, and subscription reporting and analytics.

Stayrr has no separate application account and does not supply a custom RevenueCat App User ID. RevenueCat generates or reuses a persistent anonymous customer identifier. Here, anonymous means it is not an account name supplied by Stayrr; it does not mean no identifying information is processed. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information, including product identifiers and transaction or receipt information.

SDK requests may include app and SDK versions, device model, operating-system version, preferred locales, storefront information and Apple’s identifier for vendor (IDFV). IDFV is different from the advertising identifier (IDFA). Optional SDK diagnostics are disabled; subscription reporting and technical request information remain part of the service.

Stayrr does not supply RevenueCat with your name, onboarding answers, Outcomes, Steps, focus intentions, Check-in text or ratings, Purpose Access reasons, selected-app tokens or productivity history through its purchase adapter.

RevenueCat processes subscription information on Stayrr’s behalf under applicable service and data-processing terms. This policy describes Stayrr’s use of that service. Apple handles App Store transactions under its own applicable privacy practices. Stayrr’s local reset does not delete Apple’s or RevenueCat’s purchase or service records. Stayrr does not promise a particular retention period or guarantee deletion of those records through local reset. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy for more information.

6. Other collection boundaries

The production app has no advertising SDK, separate product-analytics SDK, or Stayrr crash-reporting SDK. It does not request GPS location, contacts or health data, or collect an email address through an app account. These statements do not exclude the subscription processing described above, Apple’s own platform services, or information you voluntarily send to support.

The Stayrr website is hosted by Vercel. The website does not add analytics or tracking scripts, contact forms, application cookies or browser storage, a website database, or custom visitor-logging code. Opening website pages nevertheless sends technical request information to Vercel and network providers so they can deliver and secure the site. Vercel states that this may include request and log information, IP address, city- or country-level location derived from IP address, browser and device information, timestamps and system configuration information. Stayrr does not state a hosting-log retention period. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice.

If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments are handled outside the local app database by Stayrr’s operator and the email services involved in delivering the message. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in support messages. Stayrr does not state a support-email retention period.

7. Focus Challenge images and sharing

Focus Challenge or Focus Path images are generated locally. Private content is hidden by default and is included only through the supported disclosure choices shown in the preview. Review that preview before sharing. Images leave Stayrr when you deliberately use Apple’s Share Sheet to send or save them to a destination you choose. That destination handles the image under its own practices.

Reset removes Stayrr-generated media from the app’s local storage. It does not recall shared images or automatically remove copies saved to Photos, Files, messages, other apps or external services.

8. Retention and local deletion

Stayrr keeps local history so you can review your activity. Completing or abandoning focused work, or letting Premium expire, does not automatically delete that history.

To delete local Stayrr data, open Profile → Local data → Reset Stayrr on this iPhone, review the confirmation, then choose Delete local Stayrr data. This is a destructive action. Stayrr has no cloud history service from which it can restore the deleted records.

A successful reset clears the app’s local profile and onboarding data, blocked-app selections, Outcomes, Steps, Focus Blocks and Check-ins, timing and access history, Score history, receipts and related share records. It stops Stayrr-owned app blocking and monitoring schedules, clears related native runtime and contextual shield state, cancels pending Stayrr notifications and removes Stayrr-generated local media. Stayrr reports completion only after its cleanup checks succeed. If it reports a failure, some data or device state may remain; follow the in-app retry guidance rather than assuming deletion is complete.

Reset does not cancel an Apple subscription, delete Apple’s or RevenueCat’s purchase or service records, or necessarily clear RevenueCat’s locally cached identity and subscription information. Apple-controlled Screen Time and notification permissions may remain enabled. Notifications already delivered to Notification Center are not guaranteed to be removed.

Reset also does not erase earlier Apple or device backups, copies you have exported or shared, or emails sent to support. It deletes application records and owned files; it is not a promise of forensic erasure of every residual storage copy. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local container, subject to Apple’s backup and restore behavior, but likewise does not cancel a subscription or delete third-party records.

9. Children

Stayrr is intended for people aged 13 and older. A minor must have permission from a parent or guardian where required by applicable law.

10. Security and changes

Stayrr uses the security protections available to its local app container and Apple platform capabilities. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
